We Give Active Learning a Whole New Meaning

Kinesiology and Recreation Administration puts your knowledge in motion. In any of our degree options, what you learn in the classroom you will put to work through hands-on experiences that gives you mastery of skills and technology along with your degree.

• Exercise Science/Health Promotion Bachelor of Science Option: students do not just work in our state-of-the art labs, they help run them.
• Physical Education Teaching Bachelor of Science Option: students work in local schools and community programs.
• Pre-Physical Therapy Bachelor of Science option: students serve alongside certified professionals in their fields.
• Recreation Administration Bachelor of Arts Degree: At Humboldt State, we teach the business side of recreation with options of Outdoor Adventure Recreation, Tourism Management, or a self-design option. Students also complete a minor (or a "minor field of study," depending on how many courses you take) in business administration.

Want to Stay active, fit and healthy?

Physical Education Courses are a great way to have some fun and stay active. You can take a health course or learn Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Golf, Fencing, or Tai Chi. Get fit in our weight training, aerobics or fitness swim courses. Join an intramural team or get involved in a sports club.
