Training & Professional Development


Staff and faculty have access to a wide range of training and professional development resources at HSU. Training events and workshops are available for topics from improving competency in campus-wide applications to relaxation and stress management exercises.

Additional Information

Class schedules are not handled through Professional Training & Development. Please refer to the Moodle site for class schedules and associated instructional materials.

Upcoming events are announced in the weekly University Notices email.

Accessing This Service

To locate or register for an event, add a new event to the schedule, or search the document repository, go to the Training & Professional Development site. The site does not require a login, but you will need your HSU User Name and other validating credentials to register for an event. To create an event, please contact Phil Rouse for additional information.

Using This Service

Finding and registering for an event

Consult the training schedule, calendar, or catalog to locate events of interest, and then click the Register button to confirm you wish to attend that particular event. If you can't find a training event that meets your needs, please submit a support request with a detailed description of your requirements.

Creating an event

The Training & Professional Development website uses a tool called R25 Webviewer to create events. Follow the instructions on the R25 page to add your event to the calendar. Note that this tool is only for creating events, not University classes.

Go to the Document Center and click on the appropriate topic in the right-hand margin to locate the documentation you need.
