You can install the PolicyKey software before you arrive on campus to speed up your wireless registration process.  Simply download the installer that matches your OS and double-click the downloaded file.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Security :: Security Alert :: Mac users must update Mac OS X immediately

A Java vulnerability has caused at least 600,000 Macs worldwide to become infected by the Flashback Trojan without the user's knowledge or consent. Mac users must patch their OS and take other appropriate actions as described below to secure their computers.

Please also treat this as a wakeup call that, contrary to popular belief, malware impacts Macs as well as PCs. Be very wary of offers to install software and addons from unknown sources.

Wireless :: Windows 7 Wireless Connection Instructions

1. Go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center

Right-click on your Wireless Network Connection and select Enable

Your Wireless Network Connection will turn from grey to color once enabled.

Step 1: Connect to the Campus Wireless Network

Enable wireless networking on your Windows computer and connect to HSUWireless using the icon in your System Tray.

Step 2: Once you are connected to HSUWireless, open a web browser.

1. Hover your mouse in the system tray (bottom right hand corner) over the networking icons to identify the wireless connection.

2. Right-click the wireless networking icon and select View Available Wireless Networks.

Follow these instructions to configure your Mac to connect to the Humboldt State University Wireless Network.

1. On the menu bar, select AirPort: On and choose HSUWireless

  2. Select "About this Mac"
