Additional capabilities and equipment are listed for each room. Many equipment items are also available for checkout from Classroom Technology Services for classroom use on a temporary basis.
All interdisciplinary classrooms at Humboldt State University are equipped with enhanced technology. Comfortable podium-style consoles house a wide range of multimedia and computer equipment connected to LCD projection for bright, clear imagery. Classroom Technology Services staff collaborates with faculty and conducts ongoing research into emerging teaching technologies to ensure HSU Smart Classrooms meet the instructional needs of today's students and faculty.
Smart Classrooms are equipped with instructional technology by Classroom Technology Services. Academic Affairs funds these services for the purpose of supporting HSU faculty in their classroom instruction. Periodically, faculty may require students to use this technology to complete required coursework. Students may do so if they meet the following criteria:
