The Office of Institutional Research and Planning provides key data measures and engages in high quality research, planning, and assessment that improves evidence-based decision-making, institutional effectiveness, and success for all students and the institution.

Directs the efforts of IRP by coordinating research efforts with other data entities on campus. Disseminates institutional data in the form of the Fact book, Retention Report and other ad hoc reoprt requests that meet the strategic goals of the institution. Chair of the Research Advisory Committee and serves on Reports Group, Graduation Rate Improvement Plan, Provost and Dean's Council, Enrollment Management and Assessment Task Forces. Is responsible for linking the academic planning process to measurable outcomes data. Creates an annual dashboard of institutional key performance indicators.

Configures data structures and translations to make data accessible for analysis and presentation in various contexts including the web. Conducts analysis and prepares data presentations for use in program review, planning, and accountability. Maintains specialized knowledge of curriculum, class scheduling, and faculty workload data.

Creates computer processes which capture data about students. Builds data structures, reporting tools, projections, and web pages that make this data accessible to other campus staff.

Coordinates survey efforts of the university community, tracks external and internal survey data requests, monitoring deadlines and soliciting required data from key providers. As IPEDS keyholder, coordinates university's IPEDS responses. Screens, tracks and provides data for all data/report requests for the institution. Compiles and provides data analysis for special collections such as accreditation. Publishes data and analysis commentary. Maintains secondary historical data collections for IRP.

Produces a variety of analysis, reports, and dashboards on institutional data to advance the University's educational policy, administrative decisions, strategic planning, and assessment activities. Responsible for annual reports including the Retention Report, Fact Book, and Leaver’s Survey. Responds to ad hoc data requests from departments, administrators and committees on a wide-range of topics including academic performance, outcomes assessment, department accreditation, self-studies, grant reporting, and survey development.
