HEIF Projects Manager

HEIF is hiring a student manager to facilitate the implementation and monitoring of projects approved by the HEIF Committee under the supervision of the campus Sustainability Director. This student coordinates project implementation through the on-going collaboration with the Development Manager, committee members, Facilities Planning and Design, campus mentors, faculty, staff, administrators, student assistants and other off-campus entities. The Project Manager will conduct research that identifies the actions and materials necessary for project implementation including confirming project parameters and specifications and also ensuring incentive funding is sought, when available. The Projects Manager will also be responsible for tracking and verify energy savings from past projects and providing regular project updates regarding logistics and current status to the Committee. This position provides hands-on experience implementing projects within a budget. The position starts on May 5th and extends through at least the Spring 2015 Semester. Summer 2014 availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Researching product specifications and technologies available
  • Placing work orders with Facilities
  • Monitoring projects from start to finish
  • Liaison to implementing entity and distributors
  • Organizing hiring process
  • Verify energy savings for reinvestment fund and post-project marketing
  • Facilitates interpretive sign creation and installation
  • Compile and present regular projects progress report
  • Act as support staff as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Hours:  Flexible schedule; 10 hrs/wk during semester, 20-40 hrs/wk during summer

Wage: $11.25
