Every year HSU Forestry Alumni get together back in the old redwood stomping grounds to celebrate the HSU Forestry traditions. All HSU forestry alumni and families are invited. It's a great chance to reminisce, meet with old friends, see how the department is doing today, and help recruit future HSU forestry students. The weekend is scheduled in conjunction with HSU's Spring Preview weekend, when prospective students and their families come to visit HSU and the area.
Every year Humboldt State University recognizes distinguished alumni who have been leaders in their fields, and/or outstanding contributors to their community, nation or the university. This past April two of Humboldt's four distinguished alumni awards went to forestry alumnus Robert Powers ('66) and Michael Crooke ('86,'89). For details on both these recipients, as well as other recipients, please click on link below to view the "distinguished alumni awards" webpage.

In 2005 the forestry alumni also began to actively help the department with student recruitment. We have developed an effective student recruitment program which began to be implemented in the fall of 2006. If you are interested in learning more information about the program or being part of the program by giving a recruitment presentation, please view the recruitment page.
