Humboldt State's Society for Conservation Biology and Environment and Community Program will sponsor "The Ghost Forest, a presentation by Greg King, former leader of Humboldt Earth First! 5:30 p.m. April 17 in the Kate Buchanan Room.

King, who was involved in the preservation of Headwaters Forest and Smith River Project, will discuss his upcoming book detailing the natural history of the redwood ecosystem. His presentation will include a selection of widely published photos taken by King.

The talk also features King's insight on the impact of the human population on redwood forests, and key elements of state, federal and corporate timber policy.
