Goodwin Forum
April is Disaster Preparedness Month. HSU would like to help you get prepared. Sign up by visiting: training.humboldt.edu to attend this class or any of the three "Disaster Preparedness for HSU and Beyond" classes in April.

Living on Shaky Ground is based on the publication of the same name that is prepared by the HSU Humboldt Earthquake Education Center and the Redwood Coast Tsunami Working Group in cooperation with the California Emergency Management Agency, FEMA, NOAA/NWS and the Earthquake Country Alliance.

The class provides a detailed introduction to the region's most destructive hazards, and ways residents can mitigate those hazards, save lives, reduce injuries and recover more quickly afterward. The class will be utilized as a basic introduction to disaster preparedness for the region.
