The Humboldt Bay Rail Corridor has been the focus of a struggle between community groups who wish to preserve and improve it for restored rail service and those who want to convert the unused section of the Northwestern Pacific Railroad into a bike and pedestrian trail. This year's panel discussion will explore the compromise reached late last year between local trail and rail advocates.
