Marine Mammal Stranding Talk

Please join us for a talk given by Misty Niemeyer this Thursday, October 17th at 7:15 p.m. in Gist Hall room 218. The talk is entitled, "The Marine Mammal Stranding Network in Cape Cod - Necropsies, Stranding Response and Cool Cases"

Misty is a HSU alumna who worked extensively with the Marine Mammal Education and Research Program at Humboldt State from 1998-2002. She went on to work with monk seals in the Hawaiian Islands and with NOAA studying right whales from the air and sea. Misty is currently the marine mammal necropsy coordinator for the IFAW Marine Mammal Rescue and Research Team in Cape Cod. She is visiting Arcata and has agreed to give a talk that highlights her work at IFAW and the research experiences she has had after leaving HSU.
