Description:

Experience Cuba in Arcata this summer! The 17th annual “Explorations in Afro-Cuban Dance & Drum” is an eight-day intensive program that features internationally-renowned instructors celebrating the folkloric music, songs and dances of the Afro-Cuban people. The dance classes are accompanied with live drumming by the faculty. All skill levels are welcome. Registration options include full-week, daily attendance, or choice of five workshops. Discounted rate for full-week attendance available through July 5.

Additional Public Info: Final Performance featuring the invited faculty is open to the community: Saturday, July 27, beginning at 8:00 pm in the HSU Van Duzer Theatre. Admission is $10 per person, purchase in advance at Student & Services Building room 211 or at the door of the Theatre beginning at 7:30 pm on 7/27.
