Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Fredrik Logevall on KHSU

Time: 7:00 pm

Description:

Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Fredrik Logevall (LOWgevall) joins Paul Mann on Thursday Night Talk July 4th to discuss his acclaimed history, Embers of War: The Fall of an Empire and the Making of America’s Vietnam. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in April, Logevall explains why the French lost Indochina in the 1950s, how the United States failed to learn the lessons of the defeated French in Vietnam in the 1960s and why the White House has continued to make the same disastrous foreign policy mistakes to this day in regions as far-flung as Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon. Join Paul Mann for Thursday Night Talk on Thursday evening July 4 at 7 p.m. on KHSU.
