Center Activities and Friends of the Dunes invite you to participate in this semester's Coastal Naturalist Training. This extensive program is designed to educate interested community members about local coastal habitats. The four-week training includes classroom and field sessions with topics that cover dune botany, salt marsh ecology, Wiyot history, marine ecology, wildlife, restoration, land management, interpretation, and much more. Sessions are led by experts, including professors, geologists, botanists, historians, and long-time naturalists. Participants will finish the training with a rich knowledge of Humboldt's coastal environment and a well-rounded understanding of stewardship efforts.

Additional Public Info: Preregistration is highly recommended as space is limited. Contact Center Activities or Friends of the Dunes for more information and to register! Class open to students and community members!

Directions: Thursday evening classes will take place at Harry Griffith Hall Room 226 on the HSU Campus. Saturday classes will take place at the Humboldt Coastal Nature Center, 220 Stamps Lane, Manila.
