As part of the Sustainable Futures Speaker Series, Dr. Mark Baker will present “Neoliberalism and the Environment: The Case of Small Hydropower Development in the Western Himalaya.”
Mark Baker is an associate professor in the Politics Department and coordinator of the Environment and Community M.A. in Social Science Program at Humboldt State University. He recently conducted six months of field research on small hydropower development in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, funded by an American Institute of Indian Studies research fellowship.
The Sustainable Futures Speaker Series is presented by the Environment & Community Graduate Program and the Schatz Energy Research Center.
