| 8:00 pm | Humboldt Bay Brass BandFulkerson Recital HallThe Humboldt Bay Brass Band salutes veterans and the Olympics in its “Heroes and Warriors” concert. Selections include “Bugler’s Dream” (better known as the classic ABC Sports theme for its Olympic coverage) played on natural (valveless) trumpets, and the Colonel Bogey March from the famous film “Bridge on the River Kwaii” (with the audience invited to whistle along.) Four cornet soloists combine on “Bugler’s Holiday” by Leroy Anderson. Humboldt Bay Brass Band is directed by Gilbert Cline. |
