After the loss of their brother and son, Oya and Aqeela Sherrils transformed their energy into working to abolish the death penalty in California and into the Fair Sentencing for Youth Act. Their talk will focus on their experiences working on Legislative reform of the Prison Industrial Complex and on recovering from violence through alternative healing practices. |
