Beer Brewing 101
Time: 10:00 am-4:00 pm
Description:
This one day seminar will cover a variety of topics associated with all-grain brewing. The instructor will demonstrate the brewing process on a 15 gallon pub-style brew system, including some advanced techniques. Some of the topics to be discussed will include sanitation/closed-system operation, an overview of brewhouse equipment, carbohydrate and protein conversion temperatures, bitterness/flavor/aroma extraction from hops, yeast management, and many others. The students will benefit from a hands-on style presentation where they will experience the brewing process first hand while discussing related topics.
Additional Public Info: Pre-registration is required. You must be 21 and over with a valid ID to register for this class. Parking is limited. Additional parking available on Bates Road. Contact Center Activities for more information!
