Introduction to Sport Lead & Traditional Climbing (Level 3)

Student Recreation Center - Climbing Wall
This course provides an introduction to sport lead climbing as well as traditional climbing and is designed as a continuation of a top rope and anchoring course. Topics covered will include advanced anchor building, lead belaying, rope management, single and multi-pitch descending methods and confidence building strategies.

Game Day Challenge

Redwood Bowl
A nationwide competition to see which college or university can divert the most waste at a tailgate and football game. The objective is to minimize the amount of materials used such as paper cups and plates and to compost or recycle everything.

Last year, Humboldt State won the diversion rate award for our division. Let's waste our competition!

Eddie Izzard

Van Duzer Theater
Hailed as one of the foremost stand-up comics of this generation, British comedian Eddie Izzard takes ideas and situations and extrapolates them into bizarre, tangential, absurd, and surreal comic narratives. In 2011, Izzard became the first solo stand-up comedian to appear at the Hollywood Bowl in his hugely successful show Eddie Izzard: Stripped to the Bowl, and has sold out venues from Madison Square Garden to Radio City Music Hall.
