Safe Space is a welcoming, supportive and safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community members. Most LGBT students frequently hear anti-LGBT language and experience harassment related to their sexual orientation and gender expression.
Join Jeremy Davis of Residence Life, Eliot Altschul, Ph.D. of Counseling and Psychological Services and Buddy White of Conference Services as they present on what it means to be an ally for the LGBT community. At the end of the training, participants may choose to take a pledge as an ally and receive a safe space poster.
Price: Free - open to all HSU students, staff, and faculty
Room: Great Hall
Directions: The College Creek Community Center is located on the corner of Harpst and Rossow. The great hall is located on the 2nd floor of the community center above the College Creek Marketplace.
