Introduction to Top Rope & Anchoring (Level 2)

Time: 2:30 pm-8:30 pm

Description:

This course provides an introduction to outdoor top rope climbing and is designed as a continuation of the Beginning Rock Climbing course. Topics discussed will include an in-depth overview of rock climbing safety equipment and understanding of the principles of top rope anchor systems. This course will cover knots for climbers, building and evaluating anchor systems, rappelling on steep terrain and improved climbing technique.

Additional Public Info: Pre-requisite: Completion of Introduction to rock climbing or instructor approval. Registration deadline: Thursday, October 11. Program fee includes instruction and all rock climbing gear. Please contact Center Activities for more information!
