Overview of the EED Credential Year 2012-13

Fall Semester (total 23 units)

Phase I - 2 units fieldwork - 15 units methods courses

Foundations Seminars: August 17-20, 24 & 25, 8:30am-4:30pm
HSU semester weeks 1-4 August 22-September 9
Full-time student teaching M-F 8am-4pm - September 12 -September 16
Morning Fieldwork, afternoon methods courses

8am-12pm at fieldsite, M-Th;
EED classes M 2-4pm or 4-6pm, T-Th 2-6p, F 9am-1pm

Phase II - 6 units fieldwork

HSU semester weeks 5-16 - September 19 -November 4 morning fieldwork: afternoon methods course
August 22-September 9 - Full-time student teaching

Full-time student teaching M-F 8a-4p including 1 wk solo teaching; M or T class 4-6pm

Spring Semester (total 23 units)

Phase III - 3 units fldwrk; 12 units methods courses

January 3-13 - Full-time student teaching M-F 8am-4pm
