This will the last CNRS Weekly for the Spring 2013 term. Hope you all have a wonderful and enjoyable summer. We’ll see you in the fall!

Mark your calendars for the fall 2013 Institute for Student Success event to be held on Tues., Aug. 20. Dr. Mazur is an internationally recognized scientist, researcher, and teacher. Please join us for an engaging workshop about interactive teaching.

Planning for our Centennial Celebration is underway! Check out the details for next year’s events ~ Aug 2013-May 2014.

Faculty and Staff News

Faculty ~ Thank you for taking the time to vote in the CNRS Spring 2013 election. Results of this election will be emailed to you next week.

Faculty will receive their individual course evaluation results after grades are posted on May 22. The University average response rate was 71%, only 4% under last spring’s paper results. The online eval task force will report back to the University Senate by early October.

Faculty Development Information

The College of Natural Resources and Sciences has established a STEM Pedagogy Action Committee to look at improving retention and success rates in science courses. The Steering Committee will meet bi-weekly, Fridays at 1:00 p.m. in HGH 113. All faculty are welcome to attend or provide input.
