Tennis On Campus
We started the tennis club because we wanted to start hitting with people who loved the game as much as we do. As you know, Humboldt doesn’t have tennis courts on campus so it can be fairly difficult to find someone to play with. Tennis on Campus strives to unite players to have played the game before or who even want to learn how to play. Tennis is an amazing sport that you can play at any age and still have fun. Get out and exercise the fun way! Diversify the people you hang out with and make amazing new friends through Tennis on Campus!
About the Club
Tennis on Campus is for competitive and non-competitive players. Anyone who wants to have fun is welcome and anyone who wants more of a challenge is also welcome to participate in tournaments throughout the season located at other colleges. We are looking for dedicated players that want to show up every week and hit some balls.
Membership Qualifications
As avid tennis players we love to see new members meeting other tennis lovers on the courts. To join you just need to have a positive attitude and want to play! Don’t have a racket? Borrow one from a club member! Don’t know how to play? Easy! We can teach you! We accept all skill levels! Whether you are competitive or not, we can assure you that you will have a blast rallying with others!
How to Join
Just show up at one of our practices to join! We meet Friday from 3-5 pm at the Larson Park Tennis Courts, by the skate park and Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 pm at Arcata High School. We practice as much as we can, but sometimes weather gets in the way.
