Newman Center: Catholic Student Group
The HSU Newman Center is - a University place where Christian fellowship and Catholic worship are celebrated; We, the members of the HSU Newman Center, are here to serve and encourage to service the students, faculty, staff, and local community of Humboldt State University. In addition to weekly worship, prayer opportunities, and a program of events, the center provides a warm environment where students, faculty and staff may study, talk, visit with friends, or just get away from the pressures of the residence halls, classrooms and other gathering places of our campus. The HSU Newman Center has been part of the HSU community since 1972. The Newman Center is a registered student organization which participates fully in the life of the University and a functioning Catholic community which provides all the services of a traditional Catholic parish for members of the university community and others who choose to be a part of our primary mission"to be the presence of Christ on the Humboldt State University Campus."
