Humboldt State Mixed Martial Arts Club
Fall Semester 2011 Schedule TBA Usually within 2-3 weeks after the start of the semester we will be given times for mat use. In the meantime get on the email list and join the facebook page we will keep in touch. Work on all aspects of Mixed Martial Arts in a friendly recreational and educational setting. Additionally we all gather to watch PPV events, participate in weekend trips, workouts, BBQs and movie nights.
About the Club
-Every week we plan on alternating between, boxing, wrestling and jiu jitsu for the first hour of the time slot, we will then have open mat for the remainder of the time.
-These practices are aimed at an everyone is welcome skill level and will illustrate some of the sports individual aspects as well as in relation to mixed martial arts. Generally we have a warm up, stretch, technique workout and then some live rolling. We end the workouts with a small cardio session and then there is open mat.
-Open mat is basically time to roll, wrestle and practice your skills with others in a respectful and friendly manner. Additionally open mat is a great time to ask anyone to help you practice a particular technique and develop more skills.
