Expressions is a club for people to connect and explore-express-expand through the Arts. Our purpose is to serve as a common meeting ground for those interested in expressing themselves through art, music, dance, hula hooping, poi, flow arts, written word, song, and more. We are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive atmosphere where creativity is encouraged and diversity is celebrated. In addition to providing a space and materials for 'expression' to take place, this club also will provide opportunities for students to learn how to express themselves better and more effectively in all aspects of their life (creative, social, career, intimate,etc.) When we play, create, and express ourselves we take off our "masks" that we put on for the outside world and let our guard down ~ we are able to see the vastness of our similarities and the beauty of our differences that may escape us in everyday life. Through laughter, gratitude, and creativity we can co-create a community and help our world make the shift to absolute peacefulness and overflowing love!
About the Club
During our meetings we will be providing the space and some materials for creating different types of art and crafts. There will also be music, bubbles, (at times) tea, hula hoops, and poi provided for members to use and experiment with during this time. You are more than welcome to bring a project you are working on ~ this is also a time to finish those projects you may have left undone! Inspiration and a good conversation are also included ! Come turn your Mondays around and set yourself up for a more joyful and productive week and come play with us !
Membership Qualifications
Qualifications ~ Members should share a similar vision of creating a safe, cooperative, creative space for people to explore-express-expand through the arts. There is absolutely no space in this club for discrimination of negative judgment.
