A.W.A.R.E. Always Working for Animal Rights and Equality
We are an animal rights group on campus and our main goal is to promote the moral and ethical treatment of animals. Thus, we hold club meetings, leaflet on campus, organize vegan potlucks, screen films, and create events that raise awareness about how animals are treated in society to promote equality and non-violence, as well as healthy and sustainable diets. Our ultimate desire is to make the world a more loving and compassionate place for animals and the planet.

UPCOMING EVENTS:
October is Vegetarian AWAREness Month
Oct. 1st- World Vegetarian Day~ AWARE is on the quad from 10-2pm to put on a great event!! New membership signups, education, free literature, pledge to go vegetarian for the day, week, or month!! Fun for everyone!
Oct. 2nd- World Farm Animal’s Day~Brian Grupe from Vegan Outreach and members of AWARE will be handing out factory farming booklets from 8-12pm on HSU campus. Ask about this at our table Oct. 1. Following that event, a 6pm dinner is scheduled at Bless My Soul Cafe.
Oct. 19th- HSU Carnival Club’s Fair!! From 11-3pm AWARE will be participating in the Carnival Club’s Fair~ Games, prizes, raffles, and more! Who knows what fun AWARE has in store for you!
Nov. 8th- PETA is coming to Humboldt State University! Tabling on the quad, vegan food samples, petitions. Don’t miss it!!
Nov. 10th- PETA Run around Arcata~ A 6 mile run/walk in support of animals and ending cruelty. For more information, visit http://www.peta.org/run. Click join the team to register or support our member Caitlin Thomas as a runner!
