Event Summary: HSU Amateur Radio Society will be setting up a radio communication station to demonstrate radio propagation by communicating overseas using HF Radio Equipment and the atmosphere in isolation from the grid during ARRL's International DX Contest on the first weekend in March. Mission: To expand knowledge of longer-distance communication (DX) propagation overseas on the 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands (frequencies 28.3mhz through 7.2mhz). Improve operating skills and station capabilities by conducting radio communications within a contest environment in which DX stations may only contact North American stations. Objectives: North American Amateur Radio Operators to work as many DX stations as possible. DX stations to work as many North American stations contiguous states and provinces as possible.
