Sea Kayaking

These classes are arranged in a progression to help our participants effectively learn the pertinent skills used in sea kayaking. Introduction to Kayak Fundamentals and the Kayak Roll Session (optional for the skills series) will advance your paddle stroke technique and introduce participants to the Eskimo Roll, bracing and self rescue techniques. The Introduction to Sea Kayaking course is designed to provide paddlers with an opportunity to put their skills to use in a combination of more challenging waters including one of our local lagoons, Humboldt Bay, and/or Trinidad Bay. From here paddlers can look to increase their paddling knowledge and experience in the Intermediate Sea Kayaking course.

If these class dates don’t work for your schedule, no need to worry! Please call 707.826.3357 and Center Activities will help you organize a private outing!
