The Student Recreation Center, formerly known as the Field House, is located near the Forbes Complex/Redwood Bowl area of campus. The SRC’s purpose is to provide recreational opportunities for the HSU Campus Community. Drop-in recreation, intramural sports, physical education classes, athletic training, practice space and special events will all enrich the opportunity for on-campus activity at HSU.
Components of the Student Recreation Center:
Climbing Wall: The sculptured climbing wall features seven roped climbs as tall as 46 foot high and a bouldering area.
Fitness Center: The fitness center offers a variety of modern exercise equipment for both cardio and weight training. The cardiovascular equipment includes treadmills, bikes and elliptical trainers. The strength and training area includes both free weights and exercise machines.
Indoor Field Space:The indoor field features artificial turf which can be used for jogging, indoor sports activities and special events.
Student Recreation Center Staff: The staff consists of a variety of hard-working individuals. They include counter staff who perform clerical and logistical support Weight Room staff and Rock Climbing instructors who assist with the Rock Wall.
