Complex Cognitive Theories

Complex complex theories focus on the structure or organization of knowledge and how that is related to learning processes.  Theories in this group often connect to very specific models of instruction.  Iconic ways of thinking about knowledge, learning and lesson construction such as Bloom’s Taxonomy for the Cognitive Domain, Ausabel’s “expository teaching” model and Bruner’s “discovery” model are found in this category.  The links and ppt. below provide further information to support exploration of these theories.
