For 49 years, Cal Poly Humboldt has hosted American Indian College Motivation Day (AICMD). This event, which is held on the first Thursday in November, focuses on preparing high school students for what to look for and expect in college, creating a sense of belonging and cultural relevancy, and connecting students to their support team at Humboldt. AICMD is organized in partnership by the Council of American Indian Faculty and Staff, American Indian student leaders on campus and the Office of Admissions.
